Demystifying the biofilm in canine otitis
Biofilms can be a major concern when dealing with otitis externa infections; this article discusses why they are problematic, and goes on to consider how best to identify and effectively control them.

Dr. Léonard graduated in 2017 and completed a rotating internship at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Liege. After a year in a private practice in Bordeaux, France, she returned to join the dermatology department at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Liege in 2019 as a resident. She gained the title of European Specialist in Veterinary Dermatology in 2023. On top of her dermatology consultations at the university, she is currently working on a doctoral thesis focused on the ear microbiota in dogs.
