Dr. Catherine Milley grew up in western Canada where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in zoology from the University of Calgary and went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006.  After graduation, she spent one year as a mixed animal practitioner in rural Alberta followed by six years practicing small animal medicine and surgery at a busy practice in St. Albert. During her time in primary care practice Catherine discovered her passion for dermatology and decided to pursue a career in specialty medicine.
Catherine completed her residency in veterinary dermatology with Animal Dermatology Clinic in Louisville and obtained her board certification and Diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in 2016. She is a shareholder and clinical dermatologist at the Animal Dermatology Clinic Portland as well as a consultant on VIN (the Veterinary Information Network). Catherine is particularly interested in infectious diseases and the diagnosis and treatment of allergies in companion animals.
Away from work Catherine enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs Chiclet and Hazelnut. She likes to hike, mushroom forage, bake and travel.
